For anyone interested in sound and sound recordings
Hi folks,
Anyone planning to do recordings of the turn into the New Year?
I'm going to be on Achill Island, off the west coast of Ireland so planning to do quite a bit of recording over several days. Also, pipe bands supposedly play at midnight for New Year's so I'll definitely be capturing that. Perhaps also some pub ambiences... y'know... research!

Permalink Reply by Peter Kyster on December 18, 2012 at 16:12 I am, i messed it up last year, or should i say this year. After midnight i went out with my mics and my zoom H2, just to be sure that i would have something. The mics was set too loud, and the zoom H2 just got pebbles. So lesson learned.
Alas i live out in the country side, so only fireworks present, is what my family and i light up.
