JB Owens said… Hi John
I was inspired by the files you put on Scouncloud-eespecially the trees.
Many years ago I recorded at a State Park where I was working. The park is located on the shore of Biscayne Bay.
There is a "clump" of Bamboo near the shoreline so I put my microphone into the clump, on a windy day, and recorded the sounds with a cassette recorder. These were my earlist baby steps in audio recording- but I recorded some intereting sounds.

Happy recording
JB Owens said… I hope that you relocation is going (or has gone) well and that you both are settling in.
Please keep me up to date on your recording progress.
F.Y.I. most of my recordings are ambient nature sounds either made in Central Florida (on the Ridge) or in the Everglades, or underwater.
Now that I am retired, I plan on working on some audio projects that I have been thinking about.
Good luck and happy recording

JB Owens said… Hello again John
Have you found good recording sites in or around Catonsville yet?
I used to hang out along the Patapsco river valley and South River. Have you explored these for interesting sounds?
Good luck.
JB Owens said… Hello John
I have just joined and noticed that you are in Catonsville, MD.
Many, many years ago I grew up in Catonsville and graduated from Catonsville High.
Just wanted to say.
