"I had a go at it, and it got a lot better than last year. Alas i had to place the mics under a roof, to avoid too much rain. You can find some of the recording here: http://www.freesound.org/people/Kyster/sounds/172938/"

acoustic monitoring of Yellowstone National Park

"What a wonderful video. I always wanted to go to Yellowstone, to experience it first hand, but i fear my money won't reach that far. I would love to know what mics and recorders he's using though."

The fall is coming

It's already October, and the fall is on its way to Denmark once again. My Filsø recording project is still young, and up till now i've only been out there a handful of times. The spot i've found is nice though. Trees in the back, and a nice open terrain in the front. For the past three weeks it's been raining every day, all day long, so recording have been a little hard. Although the trees shelter a little from the rain, i'm not a big fan of recording in the middle of a minor shower. So this…See More

Where the oceans meet.

Some years i was at the top of Denmark, just where the two oceans meet. I was lucky enough to go there very early in the morning, so that i wouldn't be desturbed by too many people when recording.I got a nice recording from the trip, and when i got to listen to it, i realized just how much difference there is between the northsea and the baltic sea waves.I used some light and portable gear, for this recording. An old music stand, a bit remodelled, to hold a couple of Shure w183 microphones,…See More
