In The Dark - listening event in Melbourne and Sydney

On 9 and 16 February 2012, The UK sound group In the Dark Radio is teaming up with Australia's ABC for a listening event to be held in complete darkness. The event is purely about listening, which is why we are turning off the lights.

Under the veil of darkness, sit back and relax with a glass of wine among friends and strangers for an unusual listening affair. Immerse yourself in the interesting, creative and unique stories selected from ABC POOL contributions and ABC Radio National.

There will be an array of audio delights responding to the theme of "In The Dark", including: soundscapes, field recordings, poetry, music, and short stories.

The event will be happening in both Sydney and Melbourne.

Sydney: 7.30pm Thursday 9 February @ Serial Space, 33 Wellington Street, Chippendale.

Melbourne: 7.30pm Thursday 16 February @ Mechanics Institute Performing Arts Centre, 270 Sydney Road, Brunswick VIC 3056.

Tickets: $5 on the door
